Doll Hair and an Ice Cream Ball

Just a couple quick fun things from recently: I found one of those ice cream making balls at the local Goodwill and the kids had a blast rolling it around for quite awhile with the promise of ice cream afterwards. It was pretty noisy, but fun nonetheless!

I got tired of Olivia getting frustrated while trying to "do" her dolls hair, which was also from Goodwill and really ratted up so, after some YouTube videos, I worked on the doll for an afternoon and was pretty pleased with the results!

Carly's 6th Birthday & Halloween

For Carly's 6th birthday, she first got to pick a toy from the store that she'd be eyeing for quite awhile...

then we went to Sky Zone in Fort Myers, FL!

The girls took a spin in the hurricane machine.

We finished the day at home with cake and a few presents. She was over the moon about getting a tablet to replace the one she broke a few months before. :D Look at that face! She also got a new baby doll and some new dresses (which she adores because she's my girlie girl <3 )

A week later was Halloween. Carly was a "Neon Skeleton," Korbin was the transformer "Bumblebee," and Olivia was a "fairy."

Several days later, the kids found the face paint that we forgot to use. The trio disappeared to the bathroom for awhile and returned looking like this:

All About Puppies!!

Puppies, puppies, puppies!! Our 2015 year has ended with us swimming in puppies! First, we got my new German Shorthair Pointer Herschel from a family in northern Florida. He is an incredibly smart and energetic pup and he's quickly becoming my spoiled little baby boy.

And then on October 24 (also Carly's birthday!) our girl Sophie had a litter of ELEVEN puppies! Talk about an adorableness overload!!
Most of them will be going to their new homes on December 19th.

Art Museum in Sarasota

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
in Sarasota, FL was really awesome! We had a wonderful visit there with some friends of ours.
I wish I could have taken pictures of the paintings that we saw--some were basically murals, absolutely huge, and so beautiful!  They had a lovely playground with a water play area and the property is littered with really cool statues. The last picture I took just so I could share how creepy it was. Ha! Enjoy!
